Home Learning Help

Teachers have given packs of work and suggestions for activities to last until Friday 1st April. Please don’t ask for more work during this time. We’d like to reiterate that in these first two weeks you should not try to replicate the school experience – take time to settle into the new routine. Read a book. Play a game. Cook together. Get plenty of fresh air and build in physical exercise. In school we put great importance on independence and encourage the children to follow their own interests. This is easily done at home too.

Learning WILL continue after the Easter holidays and The Rofft staff, teachers and assistants, have been working on developing methods to enable the continuation of learning remotely for all our learners from April 20th. This has involved intense training as well as detailed consideration of the tools available.

After the Easter holidays, from Monday April 20th, parents and pupils will be able to visit these pages of the website to see the work that has been set. Assignments will be given using a variety of online tools.

At that time, this page will host a number of ‘how-to’ guides and videos that are applicable to the online resources that will be recommended by teachers from 20th April.

For now, we recommend you install these free apps on any devices you may have. Nursery to Year 2 (Foundation Phase) will be using Seesaw, Years 3 to 6 (Key Stage 2) will be using Google Classroom. You will be sent a code to join up to these apps in the coming weeks.

If you have any questions about home learning, please send an email to homelearning@rofft-pri.wrexham.sch.uk
