Wellbeing Session for Parents

The school will be holding a session on wellbeing in the school hall on Monday 3rd October from 3.30pm to approximately 5.00pm.

During the session, we will share the work that we are doing with the help of outside agencies to support our children’s wellbeing. We will be highlighting the link between wellbeing and resilience and the readiness of our children to learn.

We are delighted to have secured the presence of Educational Psychologists and NHS representatives, who have kindly agreed to attend to give a short presentation on current thinking.

There will then be a more informal opportunity for you to explore the current programmes that are being used at school and for you to celebrate your child’s one page profile, which you contributed to in the summer term. A copy of the profile will be available for you to take away. (Please note profiles were made for last year’s Reception to Year 6, so new pupils and Nursery will not have profiles yet).

We believe this open session is relevant and valuable to all parents and we hope that you will take the opportunity to attend. We have made arrangements for staff to supervise children in classrooms during the presentations.

Your child will then be able to join you in the school hall to help celebrate their one page profile and for refreshments.

At the end of the session, there will be an opportunity for you to input your ideas / suggestions to help us to further develop this important area of school life, which is currently an area for focus in our School Development Plan.

Well look forward to seeing you.
