Hello evevryone! Hope you’ve had a good Easter!
This is a newsletter which will tell you where to look for the activities and work I have set for you. Our topic will be “ Our Living World” and this week we will be focusing on life cycles.
I have set work on seesaw with instructions and ideas. Topic work will focus on frogs and their life cycles.
You have some key word spellings and some phonic patterns to learn and then practise writing sentences with. There are also some mental maths suggestions to complete daily. For this week both of these are revision based to help everyone adapt to the new format.
In maths our focus will be number bonds initially to 10 and then if you want more tricky sums you could practise the same ideas with number bonds to 20 or even 100 ( i.e. 4+6, 14+6, 40+60). Continue to notice and work on your knowledge and understanding of time ( o’clock and half past and digital) and reinforce your knowledge of 2D and 3D shapes and their properties using the booklets that were sent home as a starting point.
I have also set some books for you to read and complete the challenges from. These are set at the end of the books. These are accessed through activelearn. You also have some maths challenges on this site.I have set challenges and games on sumdog too. These reinforce concepts and spellings that you are doing.
Have fun. Remember to try your best! Send me anything you want me to comment on through seesaw. Maybe you could come up with new ideas based on these topics and send them to me so we can celebrate them together!Paragraph
